David L. Paxton
1953 – 2020

Dave was well-known and loved throughout the Hilton Head and Bluffton community. He moved to Hilton Head Island around 1981 and worked in the fire suppression industry for 45 years. He achieved the prestigious Level IV certification by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies, the pre-eminent qualification for designing fire sprinkler systems.  With his expertise, he opened and operated DLP Fire Protection Group, LLC. DLP Fire Protection Group designs and installs fire protection systems for commercial and multi-family developments throughout the southeast.

Dave was deeply respected by the fire suppression industry as well as by those of us who worked with him. He was always generous with sharing his knowledge, expertise, and work ethic.  He insisted that customer service be impeccable, and personally supervised every project to assure that each was completed with his special attention to detail. Dave was committed to designing and installing fire suppression systems that would create the highest level of safety and protection for properties, businesses, and lives.

We are dedicated to honoring Dave’s memory by preserving his legacy of providing the highest quality suppression systems and services.
